Introduction

The Son’Rashiidians have determined that the new Seraphic Serum can only reach its full potential if combined with nine rare reagents, each drawn from a different environment across Maegliin Seregon. During the festival, a ceremonial Expedition Wheel is spun to determine which region a Draconian expedition will travel to. Each location may only be claimed once. Parties may consist of solo adventurers, pairs, or small groups, and each expedition will be accompanied by a Son’Rashiidian Watcher tasked with documenting biological and magical responses.

Dessa' Announcement

Dessa's Announcement

The Castle hadn’t been truly silent since the festival goers arrived. Music drifted from distant terraces. Banners shimmered in the wind. Thousands gathered beneath Draconen Prime’s sky, voices rising like sparks from a great fire.

The Ilios Exedra was being utilized again, but this time for the announcement of the first quest. The figure that glided across the walkway wasn’t the Sun-Seraph, rather an older figure. Small compared to the towering dragons and radiant seraphs who often commanded attention, yet the crowd gave her their attention instinctively as she came to her place at the end of the platform.

Elder Dessa Devallia folded her ivory wings. Gold eyes surveyed the gathered masses, not as a ruler observing subjects, but as a teacher greeting students she had waited centuries to meet. Soft pink markings glowed faintly against her pale coat, and when she spoke, her voice carried effortlessly across the land thanks to the platform's magic properties.

Calm. Precise. Ancient.

“Children of Maegliin Seregon,” she began, inclining her head. “It pleases me greatly to see so many lives gathered in celebration rather than survival. In ages past, assemblies such as this were called only in times of war or calamity. Today, we gather for something rarer.” A faint smile touched her expression. “Hope.”

She paced slowly along the edge of the platform, hooves striking stone with quiet rhythm.

“For centuries, the Son’Rashiidians have pursued a singular endeavor. A medicine not merely for flesh, but for harmony itself. A serum capable of stabilizing Seraphic resonance perfectly to the advantage of tempering the grip of lacunae on our Draconian neighbors.”

Her wings shifted slightly, catching the light. “We stand at the threshold of completion. Yet even ancient knowledge cannot conjure what the world itself must provide.”

She gestured outward toward the horizon. “Nine reagents remain. Each born of a different land, a different temperament of creation. Sunlight buried beneath mountains. Storms crystallized beneath water. Flowers that drink dawn. Roots that remember moonlight. Even shadows that must be purified rather than destroyed.”

A murmur moved through the crowd and Dessa’s gaze softened.  “And so, we ask not for conquest… but participation.”

As she raised one forehoof, attendants rolled forward a great ceremonial wheel etched with symbols of distant regions.

“To begin this festival, expeditions shall depart across Maegliin Seregon. Warriors, adventurers, scholars, diplomats, and dreamers alike will journey where knowledge alone cannot tread.” Her voice gained gentle emphasis. “No path is chosen twice. Each expedition becomes its own story.”

A small pause.

“None shall walk unobserved. A Son’Rashiidian Watcher will accompany every party, not as overseer, but as witness. We record not only success, but discovery. Curiosity is our oldest tradition.”

Soft laughter rippled through the scholars gathered nearest the stage.

Dessa folded her wings closer. “Understand this well: Some lands will test strength. Others will test patience. A few will test kindness more than courage.”

Her golden eyes swept across soldiers, nobles, students, and wanderers alike. “The reagents you recover will allow the Seraphic Serum to reach its full potential. But more importantly… they will remind us that salvation has never belonged to one people alone.”

She bowed her head deeply to the assembly.  “This festival begins not with spectacle, but with cooperation.”

When she lifted her gaze again, warmth replaced ceremony. “Step forward when called. Spin the Wheel. Claim your journey.”

A faint glimmer of amusement crossed her features. “And, if at all possible… try not to anger any demons.”

Laughter finally broke the reverent quiet.

Dessa Devallia stepped back as bells rang across the castle, signaling the opening of the Alchemical Harvest. The age-old elder watched the crowd surge with life and motion. For a moment, the ancient unicorn simply smiled, as though witnessing the future unfold exactly as she had hoped.

Quest Guidelines

Quest Guidelines

This quest may be completed solo, in pairs, or in groups. As long as the objective is achieved, the quest will be considered complete.

Locations Wheel

Path: 228-2uk
This first wheel contains the locations where the nine reagents can be found. Spinning this wheel opens an expedition territory.

After the first expedition is opened, entrants must decide whether to spin the location wheel to open another for themselves / others or join an existing expedition.

Certain characters will be helpful in certain locations, so it is suggested that characters consider asking them to join. Ultimately, this is up to you!

Once you have the location of your expedition, visit the Locations section. You will be told:

  • What the reagent is

  • Where the reagent can be found

  • Common Dangers of the region

  • Your Mission Objective

  • A Watcher note on the location

The Watcher Wheel

Path: j2g-e76

Each Expedition will also spin the Watcher Wheel.  This will pair your location with the Son’Rashiidian Watcher that will accompany your character/group.

Follow the same process, and check the Watchers section. You will be told:

  • The Watcher’s name

  • The Watcher's Species: Remember, all Son'Rashiidians tend to be mythological creatures.

  • The Watcher’s general disposition

  • A general trait of the Watcher

  • What can endear characters to the Watcher

  • What can frustrate the Watcher

  • In certain rare cases there may be a Hidden Bonus available, this will explain itself.

Watchers are NPC characters that can be utilized by the group, but I will also utilize to help out as needed. They are support viewers only.

Expedition Encounters

As mentioned above, each location comes with its own dangers. To keep things simple for RP, each expedition will roll 1d6 when they reach their location. This will let us know what type of encounter will impede your progress.

Encounter Table

1 – Environmental obstacle

 2 – Creature encounter

3 – Resource complication

4 – Navigation problem

5 – Minor success discovery

6 – Major success discovery

Example Interpretations

Environmental obstacle: Rockfall, sandstorm, sudden storm, collapsing ruins.

Creature encounter: Local beasts, demons, sea creatures.

Resource complication: The reagent is hidden, guarded, or harder to extract.

Navigation problem: Party gets lost, route blocked.

Minor success discovery: Find extra material, helpful clue, safe path.

Major success discovery: Find rare bonus reagent or shortcut.

You may talk amongst yourself to decide how you want to handle the roll, or ask me for help if needed.

Please understand

These locations were decided due to not having expansive lore. They are designed for you and your characters to build out via RP. I can offer some guidance as to existing lore, and certain characters of mine can be of help, but generally speaking… these are new areas for you to expand on in RP! I exist to make your scenes fit and can use the Watchers for each team to ease views if they somehow get off the rails, but this is unlikely to be necessary.
